#JUSTICEFORLIAM

Liam Johnston’s Life Was Tragically Taken On June 8th, 2023

Liam was working for Mr. Mike’s Plumbing at the time of his death on June 8th while working on a sewer replacement in a reportedly 3-6 meter deep trench in Calgary, Alberta. Liam was instructed to enter the trench, allegedly. The trench he was in collapsed with Liam inside of it, ending his life.

Liam’s death and Mr. Mike’s Plumbing are currently under investigation by both the Calgary Police Service and Occupational Health and Safety. They are investigating a potentially toxic and unsafe work environment with improper practices, and a lack of proper safety equipment, such as a trench box.

We are fighting for #JUSTICEFORLIAM. We are fighting to raise awareness for unsafe work practices and the toxic work culture of the trade industry - for the next Liam, so they don’t die as he did.
